- Medications used for glaucoma, Alzheimer’s disease, and other conditions (Cholinergic drugs) that interacts with Bacopa might increase the chance of side effects due to an increase in the level of acetylcholine.
- Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) substrates interact with BACOPA. Bacopa might change how quickly breaks down these medications by the liver. This could change the effects and side effects of these medications.
Dose:
In adults, doses of bacopa are taken 300-600 mg daily for 12 weeks by mouth. Advice with a healthcare provider to find out what dose might be best for a specific condition.
