Burdock root is a vegetable native to Northern Asia, Europe, and Japan but now it is found over all the world. The burdock plant’s deep roots are very long and vary in color from beige to brown and on the outside nearly black. Burdock root, leaf, and seed are used in holistic medicine to treat a variety of different conditions. Traditionally, it’s been most commonly used as a digestive aid and a diuretic.
