- Phenacetin interacts with Gymnema might decrease how quickly the body breaks down phenacetin. This might increase the side effects and effects of phenacetin.
- Tolbutamide (Orinase) interacts with Gymnema might increase how quickly the body breaks down tolbutamide and decrease its effects.

Gymnema can be present in various forms such as capsules, tincture, powder, or tea. A standardized product to contain at least 25% gymnemic acid.
