Green tea is a type of tea that is made from leaves and buds of Camellia sinensis, that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to make black teas and oolong teas. In China green tea originated, and since then it has spread to other countries in East Asia for production and manufacture.

Drinking green tea in very high amounts can cause nervousness, headache, irregular heartbeats, diarrhea, sleep problems, vomit, dizziness, and convulsions and can be dangerous and even fatal.
Dosing:
In green tea extract, the dose taken is between 250–500 mg per day. This amount can be obtained from green tea of 3–5 cups, or about 1.2 liters.
Interaction :
Taking green tea along with stimulant drugs might cause serious problems, including increased high blood pressure and heart rate. Avoid taking caffeine along with stimulant drugs.
Precaution :
Avoid high consumption of green tea during pregnancy.
