Maca is grown on the high plateaus of the Andes Mountains. For at least 3000 years, It’s been cultivated as a root vegetable. Maca grows in a habitat of extremely intense sunlight, intense cold, and strong winds. Maca is used as a food supplement and has medicinal properties. Mostly the root is used to make medicine, but there isn’t enough reliable information available to know how maca might work.
